Glad to see others thought so too. I had been a tad worried that I'd not be able to bring the idea across correctly, given my penchant for keeping the story fairly short and sweet.
Aye, determining the appropriate length for an idea is always the tricky bit. Seem to have a decent handle on it if my viewcounts are any use as a judge, most of the time at least.
I've been doing only flash fiction (< 1k words) on my substack so far, so I've been relying on those IAM pics to do some heavy lifting for me (they DO say pictures are worth a thousand words!).
Can attest to that, pictures do absolutely play a role in getting eyeballs, at least from new people. Titles play a role too, though thats a difficult art to judge the success of. Its a little mind-boggling trying to figure out what roles each part plays, and figuring out how to give each story its best chance

I get a kick of of puns and references in my headers, so I go with that and hope other people like it, too.
