Good setup, although the dialogues seems to be too modern in some areas. People in those times spoke in more flowery speech and didn't use direct metaphors. Otherwise its a great story, and I wish it continued on.
I had wondered if it was worthwhile to delay publishing this when it does cry for more to be there. And its been a little too long since I read something written with an older style flair like what you're meaning. If you have a suggestion I'd be happy to hear it, otherwise I'd just be hunting down Shakespeare and I'm not sure that would be the right vein.
Appreciate the suggestions. Have Tolkien, have a comic/bans-dessienes adaptation of Elric that was endorsed by Moorcock, but not his direct works. Lieber is new to me. More books to hunt for then. I can hear my wallet screaming
Less the immediate expense and more the fact that there, 8 or more series that I'm in the process of collecting, and that list has always thinned then grew again. And its growing again.

Try reading Fritz Lieber or Michael Moorcock, heck even Tolkien is more period accurate.

There are chesper alternatives. Try looking up the Gray Mouser and Fafhrd comic.
