Hey all,
Apologies for the rapid double post, but I’ve got a couple of ideas I thought would be wise to run by you all since you've been kind enough to lend me access to your emails and a small role in providing some entertainment to you the past 7 months.
First up, I'm thinking of adding on a second story each week, scheduled to go up on Sundays or so, and given that I've previously promised not to spam anyone's inbox, I wanted to get a sense of whether that story should be sent out as an email or not.
Secondly, I'm toying with the idea of posting audio versions of my stories, read by myself, and if that goes well, perhaps even putting up narrations for some of the novels I have in my collection, polling you all on what you'd care to hear.
Third and finally, I'm considering turning on the paid subscription function that Substack has. I'd set it to as little Substack allows me to, which is $5 CAD monthly and $30 CAD annually. With that in mind, I wanted to ask you all if there was anything extra I could offer that you'd be interested in if a paid level were available.
Thank you all for your time and interest,
Noah
Where paid content is concerned, for myself that all comes down to whether or not I have the funds to support other creators I think are worthwhile. Extras and bonus material has never been the dealbreaker for me with that, strictly my own financial situation.
Regarding setting your stories on your email list, I see no reason not to do so. Two emails per week plus whatever one or two scant extras come with the occasional post like this hardly constitutes spam. Considering the potential for added engagement due simply to the reminder that comes from the emails, it'd be worth keeping the Sunday posts on the email list, too. Doubly so if you're not planning to lock them behind a paywall, as that just means an easier way for people to interact fully with what you're writing.
